Since the AWB was allowed to (thankfully) sunset in 2004, there is something that has eaten at me. Now that "no ban" is OK in 45 states it would be fairly conclusive that "pre ban" is nothing but an old gun. The pre ban guns are very necessary for those in the states still controlled by the Socialists and are as a result in moderate to high demand. Now it would seem that it wouldn't be a stretch for a no banner to make deals with pre banners and get themselves a neat NEW gun. Some have done that and the thanks cannot be adequately expressed. Recenly the EE boards have been, I can't say active, "noticable" with pre ban rifles and lowers for sale...at ridiculous prices. $1500 for a pre ban bushy? $1300 for an SP-1 ( I know Colt and Old mean $$$). But damn an RRA or like can be had for $700 or so. I realize there are market forces and all that crap, I also thought we were a community trying to further a God given right. Hell, there are people in the occupied zones capitalizing on our plight too. Ah screw it, Rant out.

old colts are the only ones I can understand as far as the ban states yeah i guess but arent some of the  ban states ie CA are no ar15's unles there fixed magazines post SB23(i think thats the bill number so it shoulndt matter) NY is the only still preban state i can think of off the top of my head.  then I can understand it but I still see in az a no ban state at the shows "pre ban" mags and what not. ah whatever there just looking for easy marks i guess and of course buyer beware.

I sold all but one of my prebans to guys in NY shortly after the ban expired for the same price as a new no ban. They got good guns and I upgraded to new. My old guns were not shot out by any means so everybody got something out of the deal.
Now it seems like the original frenzy has passed and most of the guys who needed a preban got one right off and the demand has dried up. I gather that dealers in the ban states have ridiculous prices on prebans.
