I'm paying a local fellow $10 an hour to help me with some difficult farm chores....

What would he have to be making in order to clear ten bucks an hour if he worked for a local business, considering social security, withholding etc?

I'm guessing $12-13...

My taxes are higher because too many people cheat the system.

Plus, it tax evasion is a FELONY, which can preclude you from ever owning a gun again.

Well, I would figure $10 times 40 hours would result in $400 dollars a week, net income. $400 times 52 weeks would equal $20,800, net income for a year.
So if he was paying 20% in taxes, he would be grossing $24,960. That's $480 a week. And that's $12 an hour. These are approximations so to answer your question, si seƱor... $12 - $13.
