[ARCHIVED THREAD] - German Shepherd Picture Thread (Page 1 of 2)
That would be very painful. |
Nice looking dogs... |
Don't buy a GSD! Go check out the German Shepherd Rescues first and you might get one for free. They take in dogs that people do not want for some reason or another - many times is merely because the German Shepherds are so high energy and people cannot cope with them as puppies. They then essentially give the Shepherds away to good homes. Both of mine were rescued GSDs and I think I only paid the $100 neuter fee on each of them. You'll get the AKC papers as well if the dog has them. |
This is by far the best guard dog (and dog period)we've ever had on the farm. She rides in the tractors with us, rides shotgun in the truck when we're movin hay and goes absolutly everywhere with us. We've had more than a few situations resolved because she walks up and stands that other ear up. She's awesome. |
I saw that sign on a driveway in Lucas last night... I was lost. I turned around. |
Hopefully in less than 2.8 seconds ! |
I love how the left ear hangs down. I'm sure it would grab my attention were she to stand it up while looking at me. |

Damn .mil filters. I can't get into my photo-hosting site. Loki, my GSD is in my avatar. It was his first boat ride up in Maine; he was not quite a year old. He's now 2 years old and around 115 lbs. I paid $1200 for him. His grandparents are from the homeland and his dad competes, but he is just a big house pet. |

Here's Kimber. . . http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h50/houstoncamaro/GrandCanyon005.jpg LOL. She's a gonner. http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h50/houstoncamaro/GrandCanyon102.jpg As a puppy with my wife. http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h50/houstoncamaro/moving047.jpg |
What does that dog weigh? 150? 160? Breed? Wow.... |
He is a Shiloh Shepherd -- a perfect GSD times two. Current weight almost 170 but I want him to lose a couple of pounds. At fighting trim he will be around 160. You can read more about him at Chopper's Page |
I would call that "small." Mine was 85 pounds before he was seven months old. |
That's the furriest cow I've ever seen. |
You are missing one of the great advantages of the breed. You can make sweaters from these dogs. You don't even have to shear them. |
|

He isn't an old country dog. He was born and bred right here in the good old USA. You can read all about him on his web site Chopper's Page |
