I was looking for stripped AR lowers and one store I asked had an Oly "Plinker" lower. What's the differance between the plinker lower and any normal lower?

I believe the "plinker" was just what they called their entry level AR.  It was my first ar I owned.  Only thing bad I have to say about the one I had is it is a very light weight (thin aluminum) construction complared to the others I have built on my own since then.

Nah, they're forged now. Still a cheap gun.

Perhaps - though at one time they were made from castings. Had one at the shop a few years back (before it burned down) and it fell off the top rifle rack - yep - cracked in two. They have a good warranty policy. Shop was here before it burned down www.shootersparadise.com
