I finally got to fire a F2000.  Comparing the G36, F2000 and M4, I have come to the conclusion that I prefer the M4.   The only thing that was pain with the M4 was some gas in the face.  I never noticed it before, but I had on some cheap safety glasses and the gas was going around the lense and into my eye which made it hard to focus on the target.   The M4 had iron sights so I had my nose on the charging handle.  Next time I am going to put a reflex sight on it and see the difference.   The F2000 is fairly easy to control but it doesn't feel as comfortable as the M4.   I like being able to firmly grasp a pistol grip.  I tried it with and without the forward grip and preferred it without the forward grip.

I heard that if you apply a bit of CLP on the right side of the charging handle and the side of the forward assist, it helps prevent gas from going onto your face. True/false?

The only experience I have ever had with applying CLP anywhere is that I got CLP in the face.

Which is why you don't apply CLP on your face.

F2000

All 3 which I am comparing are of the full auto variety.  I fired the M16 a buttload in the Corps and have fired the M4 on several occasions since I got out.  To be fair, I only got to fire the G36 and F2000 each once on seperate occasions, but after a few magazines through each, I had an opinion.
