Yesterday it was 85 degrees in Denver. I played a par 3 golf course in the morning in shorts and a t-shirt.

Left my house at around 10:30am to go skiing. It was 40s and 50s on the mountain and lots of people were in shorts and/or t-shirts. I like my skin, so I was fully clothed.

The view from 13,000 feet:

Shouldn't you be out looking for a Tower or something?  When did you get time to play golf and go skiing?

I'm sorry.  Up here in CO, it just gets hot.  And only real bad for about a week.  You Texans should come up here and kick out the California-implanted hippies.

I tried like hell to get my "Build a Wall Around Boulder" bill on the state ballot, but I couldn't get enough signatures.

I'm homesick....
It's just now getting to be growing season up here.
The snow is cool and all, but I miss all the thunderstorms.  I'm not going to see anything severe up here unless I go out on the plains.  And don't get me started on the hippies.  Everything is organic up here.  They have several rows devoted to it at the local grocery store.  Back in Texas, we had maybe a foot of organic stuff.  Unless you were in Austin.  On the otherhand, it's just a few minutes drive to the National Forest where I can go shooting.  And the potholes are horrible!  I bent three rims just this winter!  ARG!  I'll be going back to Texas when I'm done with school.

Where in CO are you?

Are you running low profile tires? If you use low pros in the summer, then you need a set of winter tires and wheels.

Either that or you just need to go slower and watch where you are going.

My knee is B-A-D, bad. I had a nice fat shot of cortizone put in it at the start of ski season, but it hurts bad again. According to my orthoped, the next step is getting it scoped.

I'm up in the foothills.  I do need to get some winter tires.  I was going slow, but I can't miss all the potholes due to oncomming traffic.  I busted two tires on one pothole down in Denver.  It was during one of the snowstorms in February, and the last one up here last month.  The locals just started patching the potholes yesterday.

ETA: Before you all go thinking I'm just a Texan learning to drive in snow....I learned how to drive in Germany in the snow and ice, so I think I know what I'm doing.  Germans don't have tons of potholes though.

That's actually my cousin on some old K2 Enemies.

I usually ride Fischer Kehuas (VERY fun twin tip ski!), but I was worried about rocks in these spring conditions, so I was on my old Atomic R 11.20s.

Turns out that rocks were not an issue and I should have brought up the Kehuas.

But why cover it while sking and not golfing. I am thinking about the sun doing the harm.
Maybe I am wrong.

Ahhhhhhhh, gotcha.

My ears got a bit sunburned on the mountain even though I put on sunscreen. The sun on the mountain is harsh!

I was thinking more along the lines of falling on ice at 30 mph. That is no good for the skin!

I always though Colorado had alot of T-storms!  But then again...I'm originally from NY where the only thrunderstorms we had seemed to be at night.

A thunderstorm in a tent up in the mountains is surreal here in Colorado...and a wee bit frightening.

It's the time of year when there is a 50% chance of a thunderstorm every afternoon around Co Spgs.  Nothing beats a few inches of hail on the drive home.

I travel a lot for work, and it's always fun when they thread-the-needle around storms on the approach into COS.   Going up to DEN is a good roller-coaster ride now that the air is warmed up in the afternoon, they stay below 10000 mostly and every now and then some newbie vomits on a 12-minute flight
