4th generation from my wifes family... Mix 1.5 cups of crisco and 1tsp salt Blend in 2lbs powdered sugar and 1c milk Mix well by hand or slowest speed on blender. Add 1lb more powdered sugar and 2 tsp vanilla or almond extract (preferrably vanilla) This can be kept in refrigerator for 4 weeks or more. For choclate icing add 2 packages of choco-bake to 1/2 the recipe.. Family from small town know for making cakes and their "famous" icing... Enjoy Mostly this is cake frosting, but is fantastic as icing on cinnimon rolls ect.. Can give you that recipe too, if you promise not to tell the wife... |
