I hate to dupe of the DIY board, but I'm trying to do research on this thing and it's suddenly crapped up on me. Connection is slow. Like, real slow. Downloading at 14k modem slow. When I do a ping command to www.yahoo.com I get
I can't even ping arfcom. I've run ad-aware, scanned with AVG, hell I've even turned my firewall off. Ran HiJackThis! and came up with this

power everything off power on the cable/dsl modem, wait for the lights to stabilize then your router if you have one, wait for the lights then your pc not being able to ping arfcom has been a normal occurance for me for a long time the protocols and packets ping uses are starting to get blocked by a lot of routers these days since they can be used by hackers, so unfortunately it's not as good as a diagnostic tool as it used to be |
| you may have a memory leak. your system totals look close to mine so you may have a memory leak or something running that is hidden. How many programs do you have open in the tray and how many problems on the task bar. I also would suggest a disk clean up and a defrag. |
