The 590A1, which is better, 18.5 or 20 inch barrel, it's the same price for both, both have the speedfeed stock, which one should I get? Thanks for any suggestions. david. |

The 590 comes in a variety of configuations and barrel lengths. see the mossy web site for details. make sure you get the right part number when ordering. I have an 18" Vang Comp mossy. I like it - it is a little faster on the swing for multiple targets (3 gun) due to a 2" shorter barrel and less ammo out at the end of the pipe. Want additional ammo - Vang has a +1 tube extension (for a total of 7 in the weapon), sidesaddle holds 6, speedfeed stock holds 4 - grand total possible with an 18" = 17. If you need more - you need men and weapons. Good luck |

A bayonet will fit on a 590A1 with a 20" barrel, but not on a 18.5" barrel. The single actions are [i]all[/i] cylinder bore. All the 590A1DAs (double action) are modified choke. I would opt for one of the single actions with ghost ring sights no matter which barrel length you decide to get. |
