I wear a night guard I got from my dentist. It protects my teeth at night when I grind them.

Ditto.   Make sure you do it soon, too.  A dentist/orthodontist will make one off an impression which is almost unnoticeable.  If you don't do it until later, he'll grind all the enamel off his teeth and have tooth problems later.   The grinding also can drive back the gum line, causing more problems.

From someone who has the same problem and has a mouth full of
about $15k, take my advice and get the problem addressed right away.

I remember the first time I learned I was doing it, my roomate in the dorms
at college asked me about "those evil noises" I was making when I was asleep.

Of course, those evil noises were from me grinding my teeth, but I never knew
I was doing it.

Over enough time it destroyed my teeth ....... all but two of my teeth on top have
crowns, and there are three on the bottom. Alot of money and alot of pain.

It is a little strange that such a little dude is experiencing the problem. Might be
a TMJ problem?

Good luck.

I used to grind them when i was younger -- it would wake my parents up across the hall

The ortho we had didnt think it was a problem.  he left and the new guy said "if we dont stop that he'll grind his teeth down to the point that the gum will start getting lower and lower on that tooth b/c the tooth will move down.  i dont have points on my canines b/c of this

what made me stop?  getting braces in 6th grade.  didnt grind again.

not sure if that will help yours as he's too little but... just an fyi
