I rejoined Amazon.com, and ordered the DVD's Deliverance, and Band of Brothers (used)
Anyway Deliverance is coming from Amazon.com (new), they sent shipping and tracking email 4/2 Their tracking, NOT UPS like when I order ammo!
Finally shows up in tracking 4/4 As pick up from UPS and a location of St. Paul, MN...
That was 3 days ago, I am 100 miles South West of St. Paul, MN.
Package is a no show so far.

So, Where the hell is Amazon.com located?

It can come from either an Amazon warehouse, amazon partner's store (for example Sportsmans guide is one of their partners) and or an individual seller such as myself.

I use amazon to sell my textbooks :)

I ordered a couple of books about a month ago and they shipped out of Cincinnati, OH. Like others have said, probably depends on what you ordered, could be anywhere.

I ordered Band of Brothers USED at around $38, that dvd is coming out of PA from a private Amazon used seller.
Yes I figured they had regional warehouses. Yah, it was a while back, my young nephew and his wife wanted me to watch this new movie they bought "Deliverance."
Sure did make him squeel like a pig...

Jeff Bezos keeps all that crap in his garage.

Actually, Amazon has something like 25 huge warehouses around the US, which means 2-3 (business) day service via ground for most items.

HOWEVER...  Amazon does offer free shipping deals under the agreement that "we process your order when we get around to it".  They usually quote 7-14 days for that, but usually do much better.

Amazon is VERY good about giving ESTIMATES for shipping, based on the shipping method you chose.  They have less control over their Partners or any used items sold by individuals, of course.

I've ordered many times from that place, and gotten packages from all over the country. Once the box leaves their property, they don't have any control over it.

If it is comming from Amazon, it's pretty quick.  A little slower if it's from one of their partners.  I've ordered lots of dvds from Amazon.  The last one came from a store in Near Knoxville, Tn.  Seems like it took forever.
