grew up on this stuff and would probably still listen to some rap if it wasn't all about the pimps, ho's and hustling. These guys still rock two decades later.www.youtube.com/watch?v=fumgOJLFSHw

While there have been a few good rap songs (Beastie Boys, for the most part), rap, in general sucks.  Is it really music when you steal other's beats and tracks, and speak about bitches and ho's over them?

but but but ...where are the airplanes,,,, and the fast cars...and the mansions....and the disrespecting of women....and where is all the money ....where where where is it .....and they dont even talk about shooting caps in neighbors....and selling crack!

and they had guitar playing .....rappers hate guitar its too frigging white and takes talent to play!

ETA: that brought back some good memories....I may even download some more of their songs from limewire I mean....go buy some of their CD's for an outragious sum of money even though I only want a few of the songs on it

Second the 'NO'

I never understood the appeal of the hard rap. I will give a pass to something like RunDMC with AeroSmith doing Walk This Way, however, the thug street crap is just that.

One mans opinion.....

Yeah, a "True Classic" ripped of of David Bowie.

Bowie has more talent in one of his boogers than all of the rappers put together ever will have.

i actually liked the pimps, hoes, and gats rap. but that was when it was still being done right. Ice Cube, NWA, Getto Boyz, etc. that stuff was awesome, no doubt about it. the crap nowadays is like a broken record. hear the same shit over and over and over and over......

how many songs we need about "da club" anyway?

Mr. Clean,
I was sort of leery about posting Snap too, it but I figured it had a good beat and rapping in it so I'd take my chances. Walks a fine line through a few musical genres, sort of electronica or techno too but still it kicks serious ass.
