I'm pretty sure if the shtf with iran we will have $4-5 a gallon for gas.
I can handle the price, but will there be a shortage as well?

If we woke up tomorrow morning at war with Iran, and gas skyrocketed, a short term shortage of less than a day or two might result from panic buying, but after awhile demand would drop.

The main reason I bought a 65+ MPG motorcycle was the threat of $5 gas last summer.

Dunno, but if you're worried about it, you can sell your new upper to me and buy more gas.
ETA: Saw that $$ isn't a problem. Go get a bunch of gas cans, fill 'em up, stabilize them, rotate as needed, and you're good to go.

No shortages. Just have enough cash. We no longer have price caps on fuel.
