Is there any way to anonymously text message a cell phone from a computer? I would very... very much like to know. |
|
It's a Verizon phone that I would like to txt to. Let's go ahead and say it's a, "practical joke". Now, if I got my laptop and hopped in my car and went driving around the neighborhood for a wireless signal (which I've done a few times |

Who is the carrier? You can find plenty of places on the net to send SMS< but sometimes they'll spam the SMS recipient. I have used this during emergencies for parties that didnt have WPS enabled phones: www.freetxt.ca/ |
| At least some providers have an email-to-SMS gateway. Cingular, for example, uses [email protected] |
Verizon? try this: https://www.vtext.com/customer_site/jsp/messaging_lo.jsp
It may help... make sure to change your machine name, domain/workgroup, MAC address, clear all cookies that may have personal data in them before you connect, go through an annonymizer... etc etc. you leave a lot of shit behind. I'd just go to the library or borrow someon's machine at starbucks. |
