| I have noticed ever since I was a kid, that shortly after I handle lead or copper, I begin to have a metallic taste in my mouth. Is it possible that the stuff is getting absorbed into the bloodstream through the skin in my hands? Is this bad? |

A metallic taste in the mouth is a symptom of lead poisoning, but it's also associated with lots of other things including certain vitamin deficiencies. Do a search on the web. We used to melt lead sinkers in a Coleman stove when we were kids and as far as I know I have no lasting, ah, lasting... effects. |
