Classified, I'm sure.

An easier question would be "Since the advent of nuclear submarines, how many enemies has the US battled that actually had a navy?"

Hard to sink ships when there are none.

Funny thing is an American Sub did not do it.

It would have been during Vietnam, Gulf War, or the Falklands Fracas, right?

I believe it was the British nuclear Sub Conquerer using a spearfish torpedo to sink the Argentine Cruiser general Belgrano during the Falklands war.

I don't think there was ever another ship acknowledged to be sunk by a nuke boat.

One in the Falklands is the correct answer.

Didn't a US Nuke sub sink a Japanese commercial ship by surfacing too quickly off Hawaii a couple years ago?
It isn't an official war, but were we in WOT mode then?

One... The Brits nailed a Argentine cruiser during the Falk war. It was called the General Bellgrano or something.

I'll be damned, i was certain it was a homing torpedo either a spearfish or a tigerfish.

The sinking although criticezed in some quarters, was justified in my opinion though, you take a warship to sea during time of war; you take your chances, especially if you started that war.

After the Belgrano was lost, the entire Argentine fleet, including another, more dangerous, carrier led task force, withdrew from the war entirely in fear that other British subs were operating in the area.
