With them trying to redo the Weapons Ban how many of you guys actually take time out to write your Representatives?

[#1]
I do.

Both Emails and regular letters.

And call them too.

I have written them many times.  I have found that if I really want to get their attention, I send a handwritten letter.  For some reason, taking the time to put pen to paper and mail a letter really makes my reps stand up and take notice.

I write my Congressman virtually weekly.  I get an official snail mail response to each one and it appears that he (or someone) actually reads my mailings.

Radanovich I contact often. Good 2A guy.
DiFi and Boxer, I no longer waste ink and bandwidth

Compared to those who write to boycott gun products over a stupid remark, probably not that many.

On a side note, writing to my rep has done absolutely nothing and will do nothing. (Rep. Patrick Kennedy).

I've written exactly 5 letters to Patches Kennedy with the typical form letter F-off response. The guy pulls a typically Kennedy move and crashes his car after downing a few Ambien and he still gets re-elected

I honestly have to admit that no I don't.

But I plan on changing that very soon.

I do, but usually only email.

I will freely admit that I haven't done so in years, and that is mostly because I've been moving so damned much I don't even know who my Rep is anymore.

Of course, now that I live in the DPRNJ, I don't suppose there's any real point to doing so.

I don't.  I did once and got a canned email back.  I felt I did no good.  It all seems hopeless and pointless.  I'm thinking about selling my guns.

I write them at least once every couple of months. I just wish I would quit getting back form letters to things that never inquired about

If you want to get the attention of an elected official, show up outside
the office supporting your cause with a group of people holding signs.
Videotape and post the results on the internet.  This works best if the
official is running for reelection.  Politicians hate negative PR, especially
before reelection.  Do it with a small group of people to defray the cost
of travel, and hotel room costs.

I posted the info on another 'firearms' forum and they deleted it on all but one page??

Man anyway I want to see if the evening crowd sends letters to their reps?

I suspect may of those who would vote "no" won't even take the time to hit this poll.
