Look, I liked Anna Nicole Smith as a playboy centerfold and guess model. As long as she kept her mouth shut, that was great. But on 8 February 2007 three far more important people died. Three of my Soldiers were on the recovery mission for that downwed Sea Knight and were killed by an IED. I wish America had a little perspective. |

The loss of one of our warriors is always a loss to the fabric of America. I myself personally do not want to relive the days when reporters would go the houses of the families of the fallen warrior to interview their family. Having been in the military and losing family member and fellow Marines from my unit in armed conflict, I know the feelings you are exercising. These days will be some of the hardest days of your life to understand, but time will help. Know that what you hear in the press from D.C. is not what America feels, but nothing more than a group of unscrupulous politicians method to attempt to take power. America supports your efforts to keep us safe. Thank you for your service. I don’t make a habit of talking unkindly of the dead, so I will not be making any comments regarding the death of the model, other then to say that it is a shame that her life was so troubled, even if it was self inflected. Keep up the good fight. |
