Trying to develop a PP presentation for a class I have to teach.  I have no idea how to add various pictures (jpeg, gif, etc) to the presentation.  Anybody give a hand, here?

Thanks

Use the "help" feature. it is your friend.

Short answer is to pull down the "insert" menu, and click "picture".

It will ask you what file you want to pull the file from. Once you have inserted it, you can modify it for size.

Click on add slide, click on layout and choose the type slide you want  (title, title and content etc...) in the content window, you will have several icons for different types of content.  Click on the picture.  Then, your my pictures folder will pop up (just like attaching in an e-mail) select your pic.  Then, comes the hard part.  You have to select timing, how it comes up, what it does once it comes up, what kind of border and background......

Don't mess with power point unless you have some serious time to set everything up and tweak it.  If in a hurry, just do a manual slide show by putting the pictures in order in a particular folder and doing the next...next deal.  It will take quite a bit of time to learn power point and to set up the presentation because there is so much to deal with.

Hate to pop your bubble.....Also, use the help file.  Too much info to cover on here...Sorry

Thanks Guys!  I'm not trying to dazzle anyone, just the basics.  I reckon I can muddle through it now.

Right click on the pic, hit "copy".

Open presentation and slide and right click, hit "paste".  Easiest way I know.
