I have noticed lately that my laptop seems slow on the internet. I have been trying to download the latest firefox, ect. But today my wireless connection was connected at 54 MBPS and my browser would not recognize any web pages and I had errors. So I change my wireless network to another one that I can pick up from my house (neighbor I guess) and at only 11MBPS it is running faster than I ever remember mine running. What is going on here? Any Ideas? Thanks

How old is your wireless router?
Maybe time for a firmware upgrade.
Could be a lot of things.

See if its the connection or just your web browser.
From a command prompt run a continuous ping to some public IP address (preferably one for a public web site) see how slow the round trip delay is. If you are getting good ping times but slow web performance, check your browser and laptop.

Also - portable phones or neighbors with wireless on the 2.4Ghz can cause interference.  Try rebooting your router by just unplugging and plugging it back in and see if that helps.  I tend to have to reboot mine every few weeks.
