Interesting semi-documentary from the Brits. P-Coy is the 'selection' course for the Parachute Regiment. video.google.co.uk/videoplay?docid=3342083745772979144&hl=en-GB Each 'segment' contains about five minutes of footage of the same thing, so you don't need to watch the full hour. Sound-track is good if you like AC/DC though. The Health and Safety people would have a fit about the contraption at about 7 minutes in. Of particular note are the two individual running tests. By way of comparison, I've a PT test in two weeks: I need to do my two miles, in trainers, shorts and T-shirt, on flat ground in 16:30. (Of course, I go into the next age bracket in two months). They get an extra minute and a half for their two-mile run: Over undulating ground with pack, rifle, helmet and boots. Their 1.5 mile steeplechase isn't any better. The "Milling" is about the 35 minute mark: You get one minute to beat the ever-living crap out of the other guy. Happy days... NTM |
