Nope They dont use the phone outlet for roadrunner, thats for DSL. The Coax cable wire plugs into the modem.

Service aint so good down here in the RGV

I've had Road Runner since it fist came out 10 years ago. It has to be installed by their crew, and they install a dedicated cable line direct to the modem. The also use a line filter of sorts, and install a network card if your PC doesn't already have one.

I have always had good guys with my roadrunner... I also get a very strong signal.. They had to install soe sort of dewhickey to tone it down a bit b/c the modem was having issues.. Right now i get absolutely no packet loss...

Had it for several years but switched to DSL about a month ago. Tired of paying $50/mo for ISP. The speed was good but DSL is acceptable and is only $15/mo.

I have roadrunner cable at the moment.  They use the same coax cables you would for cable TV.

I am canceling it and getting Verizon DSL.  $25 a month cheaper and the service I am getting will be faster than cable.
