Drove 35 miles to a local small town that was having a gun show. I noticed they opened a brand new Super Wal-Mart. Grand opening today. A different thread asked what ammo prices were doing, so I strolled into sporting goods. I saw that the WWB 100 round value pack for 9mm went up to 14.56. But the WWB 40 S&W 100 round value pack was $12.47. I told the guy I would take all he had. Then it rang up as $19.98. I stopped him and asked what was going on. Someone stocked the shelf wrong. The price was for 50 rounds of 40 S&W UMC. There wasn't even a place on the shelf for the 40 caliber WWB value pack. I told him not to worry about it, mistakes happen. It was understandable considering the move to a new store. He said not to worry. He did a price override. I got 5 boxes at $12.47 each. |

heard something about companies selling items at the advertised price even if it is a fuckup. like once when i was younger i went to buy a videogame for 25 bucks, they had it in the glass case but on the wrong rack. Rang up for 50 and he over rode it since they had misadvertised it. cool. |

I was in a GI-Joes sporting good store in north Seattle ( Lynnwood area ) about 1 1/2 yrs ago. I saw a bunch of 40rnd boxes of Winchester white box JHP 48grain ( These ALWAYS sell for $13 anywhere ) sitting on a shelf that was marked $3.99. I told the guy at the ammo / gun counter I'd like to buy them. He scanned one and it came up $13.99 and asked if I still wanted it ... I said no I thought it was $3.99 like the shelf marked price. He thought for a minute and said OK $3.99 it is. He asked how many I wanted and I politely stated: "heck I'll buy them all" I walked out with around 800 rnds for $90. If you've never shot any of that stuff. It's accurate as hell and fast FPS ammo. |
Yeah, reclick my link, I updated it. Went back and got the rest of the 18boxes because 2 different guys were working. But at the new price.
