I'm posting this in GD since I have a very short window to pick up a Hornady 366 progressive for a pretty good price and the reloading forum doesn't get as much traffic.

A guy I know is upgrading to a ponsness warren reloader from the 366.  I can't decide if I should pick up the 366 or should I just go for the ponsness warren?  I can get the 366 for 180  bucks in 20 gauge.  I also would need dies for a 12 gauge.

Any opinions?  Should I jump on this thing?

I like my 366.   It works pretty darn well.  They do take some tuning, but once you get them set, you can put out quite a few rounds pretty quick.   I got mine used, and it still wasn't bad to set up and get tuned.

It does suck when you make a mistake.   It can be a bitch getting everything set again for a restart.

Lots of good info here.Shotgun World

I like my MEC 9000 over the Hornady.

That's an okay price, but these machines and their predecessors are well known for being a pain to keep running correctly.

You would be better off with a MEC Grabber, and can probably find one for about $125 to $150 in very good condition.
