I'm looking for an easy to use program to make a floor plan of my house (it's going up for sale). I tried searching, but most of what I found was way too intuitive. I don't want to make it 3D, I don't need clip art of every type of furniture known to man. I just want something that I could whip up a quick black line floor plan, preferably something that could keep it in scale. Anyone use software like this? Thanks! |
| I can't really help you except to say a buddy of mine had such a thing--old enough it was on a floppy disk. It did exactly what you want and worked GREAT in laying out my cabin. Simple graphics, scale-size appliances and furniture, and the ability to make walls, doors, windows, etc. in any configuration. Hopefully someone can help. |
| Go to CompUSA or some other computer store and root around their $5 software bin. They're sure to have some sort of house "design" program in there. My ex bought a $30 program to do proposals for folks in her home repair/remodeling business. Works fine for her purposes. Of course, she's an Architectural Engineer, so she know how to draw things already. |
