Wife needs a PDA for class, dell offers Axim keyboard with bluetooth .

Question -- If she is sitting in class with other students all using same setup will they cross enter on each other's pda's?

They don't offer a wired keyboard.

Thank in advance !

Bluetooth devices are paired with their host, so no, they wont cross enter.

Well we ordered one , That $300 PDA quickly jumped to  $930 . No  suprise there!

Can anyone guess which household fund this came out of?
Yep the gun fund

Don't do it - not simply because it's the gun fund, but because Dell PDAs SUCK.

If you want to hear my horrible experience with mine, IM me.

I paid under $200 for a Palm TX.  Does Bluetooth and WiFi.  Cordless keyboard is another $59 (for a good one).

My employer gave me a Dell Axim.  It was a neat toy at first, but I rarely use it now except for work related stuff that I HAVE to use it for.

In my experience, PDAs are overrated.  I have a Palm Tungsten, and other than being an underpowerd iPod, it was no improvement over a notepad/datebook.

I travel A LOT, so I had my company buy me one of the very first Axim X5s.
Fun at first, even used it to access our UNIX-based ERP system with the WEP card and some very pricey software.
Even used it as an MP3 player.

However, it bored of it and eBay'd the unit 14 months later.

I think the money is best spend on a good phone and a good laptop.
