When staying a nice hotel and you want to order a 15 to 20 dollar a bottle of alcohol from room service, they charge you 100-120 bucks?

I know there will be a bit of a mark up but come on!

My favorite one was the Hilton I stayed at in Chicago, on Michigan Ave. Not only was the liquor beyond fucking unreasonable, they claimed it was illegal for you to bring your own alcohol into the hotel room, due to licensing restrictions.

Ya, I followed that one.

I carry a bottle of Crown with me when I travel.

Or stop by the nearest liquor store on arrival.

Why is it....

...people put cryptic titles on their threads?

The over priced booze is directed toward those who are to lazy or drunk to leave their room for a bottle.

I went to a Jamaican all inclusive resort in March of 05 to get married

When they say all inclusive they meant it.  No alcohol was extra.  Including our mini bar (with all full sized bottles)  I was adding up drink costs of everything I drank.  I had well over 1100 in drinks, and another 250 or so out of our mini bar.(Packed it everyday to bring home, restocked every morning)  For both of us we paid $2300 airfare included out of Memphis to montego bay and had 5 days and 4 nights.  She probably had another $500 in drinks herself.  The service was 5 stars.  Flat out amazing. I figure the only way they could afford all that was because rum has got to be almost free there.

They could jack the price up after say 9 pm.

It was a sunday afternoon, I had places to be rather than drive around looking for a liquor store that wasn't a 45 minute trip away game day traffic included.

Anyway just seems a bit unreasonable. at what, 800% markup

The Omni has the same uber-overpriced water. I didn't price it in the gift shop though, I drank tap water.
