Lads:

In order to obtain my CCW permit here in Texas, I need to first obtain a passport photo.  Does anyone have any good recommendations as to where to get this done the quickest?

Cheers.

Last I heard, Wal*Mart was getting the outrageous sum of $5 for passport photos. Last time I needed them, I took them myself with a digital camera and printed them on glossy photo paper.

Post office or if you have a digital camera, just take a photo with a white background.  Make it 2" x 2" and you are good to go.

Use the extra ones for your passport application.

Or, have them blown up into a vinyl decal for your car to make people think you're a real estate agent.

Take your class with someone that provides them, Most classes run around $100.00 anyway, and if they already provide photo, and prints you are better off letting them do it for you. I went to a place in Bradshaw Texas, and the guy photoed me, and printed me, and filled out my paperwork, all I had to do was answer the questions, and check, and sign the thing.

The sheriff took mine with the same camera that they take the mug shots with.Had to unload all sharp stuff from my pockets to enter the jail and walk by the cells to the camera.
