I just got an interesting message in my Youtube inbox.  Fake, scam, what does ARFCOM make of this?  If this is no shit, I've got about six hours of video I shot from my last deployment I haven't edited yet.

Hello, I work with LMNO Productions and we are making a television show called My War Diary for the Discovery Channel and were wondering if you would be interested in the possibility of your video being used. If so, please send me a message back and include an email and phone number.

I dont see why someone would fake that, Give them your email and see what comes of it. Dosnt seem like spam to me. What would the spammer gain from that?

I've seen commercials for that show on TV, but have never actually seen any episodes.

Seems like too much trouble to go through to just get one e-mail address.  Spammers run automated programs that scan websites for e-mail addresses and buy/sell them by the million.

Yeah, me either...

I'd hate to have my video edited and published to fill some Democratic/liberal agenda...  That would piss me off to no end.

It seems that the program does want videos from military personnel. However, I don't know if that message is real or fake.

DG - I'm pretty sure this is legit, just don't give any original material so you don't lose your copy. They did something similar with LIMA company from here in Columbus. Let us know how it goes
