So I got my update of 7.0 and as someone said before I don't like it all that much. It has an option during the install for something about making internet text more clear. Well it makes arfcom look fuzzy and I can't live without arfcom!

Should I uninstall and go back to 6.0, do a system restore and go back to a couple hours ago (6.0) or is there some way to fix the fuzziness? Thanks!

You poor bastard.

(I don't mean to be cruel but this will bump your post.  I am a professional systems administrator, and was warned by a couple of our technical managers to stay the hell away from 7.0.)

I'd sure like to know how to uninstall 7.0 and go back to 6.0 without losing my stored "Favorites" and other settings.

The only way I know to do that is to restore your whole system from the backup you did before installing 7.0.

Go to internet options and you can turn off the clear text thing in ''advandced'' If you want to uninstall go to change/ remove programs and select show updates on the top. Then remove IE7 and it will go back to IE6

Copy your favorites folder or rename it. When you go back to 6 , put the folder back. I think that will work. Have not done it yet.

ETA CaliforniaKids advice would be best.

Hey I think I got it. I changed a few settings on my monitor and did the ClearType. Thanks. You may now return to your regular arfcom viewing.

I just get tired of staring at the same shit all the time, so I like to mix it up and update whenever possible. No complaints thus far, just needed to make text clearer.

You are well and truly fucked.  IE7 sucks so badly at imitating the best features of other browsers it's pathetic.  I run Opera, which IE still can't match.

Generally, I recommend opening Windows Explorer,  navigating to the Internet Explorer folder, highlighting it, and mashing the DELETE button.

I really hate IE.  If it weren't absolutely necessary for the Windows updates,  I would really delete it completely from my computer.

I'm using Netscape 7.1 here.

From what I can tell, Netscape has licensed Mozzilla Firefox, and the people at Netscape customized Firefox to say Netscape etc, etc.
