| I'm not very familiar with mp5s or any rifle of that style but lately i've had an itch for one. Do any of you have one and do you like it? |
He means with money. I like to clarify that after I went to a gun show, picked up a Springfield 1911 "loaded" model and asked if this was the "loaded" model and the salesperson said, no, it's not loaded. |
your only other option for an H&K is to buy and HK94 and swap out the barrel... by doing so, you'll be making it an NFA item, so it'll require a BATF form 1 and a check for $200 to the feds. ...and how much are HK94's going for right now? i think CDNN had some for $2,800? an MP5 will be expensive because it's a machine gun. the FOPA of 1986 made it so you can no longer get a machine gun made after 1986. the result was supply and demand. the price of machine guns skyrocketed. ETA: HK94 just swap out that 16" brrel with a 3 lug barrel, and you've got an MP5 look-a-like. |

here's another clone that should be out in a civilian legal form in the next couple years... www.professional-arms.com/ ![]() discussed here |

My thoughts exactly. If it is a quality weapon, I will own at least one. |
I was shooting in a quarry and a guy pulls up with his kid now we need to keep an eye on them, etc.He throws down a mat and lays out 6-7 NFA items. He let me shoot the MP5K with the laser on the forward grip. I unashamedly wet myself burning up two 30-round mags. [homer]ahhhhgurglegurgle..NFA..gurglegurglegurgle..[/homer] |

Hummm MP5...Got to shoot one once with a suppressor. Effortless to keep everything on a steel IPSC target at 50 yds on full burn. Sounded like a soft thut-thut-thut-thut along with the ping-ping-ping-ping...DAMN that was sweet. At the time they were a pricy 6K in that configuration. If I had anywhere close to the spare change, I'd have one. Save your money and get what you reallly, REALLY want NOW. They'll only go up in price. |

Many years ago I got to fire a MP5 SD, it was very nice. I especially liked the SD version since loud noises frighten me, Then years ago a pal of mine and his wife were at a IPSC shoot, might have been a Bianchi cup. She wandered over to the HK stand and the next thing he knows she is running a MP5 SD, pausing between bursts to say 'Jim! this thing is great, we need one of these!', |
YOW. HK Made? When does it come out? And most important - will my registered sear work in it? (Say yes) |
that one is made by a company called professional arms. i don't know anything else about it. |
I have 4. Easily one of my favorite platforms. Currently they run around $18k. If you were looking at semi autos grab a DOJ HK94 before they are all in collector hands and the price runs back up to $3,500. You can currently get them for about $2,800 if you look around. Don't bother with clones. They run about $1,500. It will take another $800 to get them running reliably and they still won't be as good as factory. Spend the extra few bucks. |
I for one am gonna impeach the credibility of most of your statements. You probably own a nifty little Lorcin too huh? |

now we need to keep an eye on them, etc.
