Browning (non Belgium) BAR  -  All I know about it is the physical condition and that it's a 300mag with a redfield 3X9 scope.

Blued with nice wood.  -  Possible chance to buy today.

How do I determine what "grade" it is?
Any pro's cons on this rifle being an automeatic and such a large caliber.   -  Ballpark whats the market value?

Wholesale on a NIB Safari model is $700, so I would figure $550-$650? Take a look at the online auctions and see what they are doing to get a real good picture. The high grade models are easy to tell, the grade V have a coined finish with gold accented engraving. The Grade III are blued with gold accented engraving.

according to gun tracker.......

the average price seems to be around 450-600 depending on condition 90-100%

i have never seen a BAR that wasn't a decent rifle.
