Haiku threads used to get pretty good on ARFCOM. Then the membership changed faces to a large degree and they are out.  I don't think Haiku is cliche at all. It is what it is, a poetic form that has been around for close to a thousand years(something like that). It also makes me wonder why Bushido is not more popular in the US.
