I need a replacement for my Inova.  I wear a suit everyday and need a small pocket light.  The tiny inova was good for size, but id does not put out much light and the tailcap/switch has had a short in it for about a year.  I have to smack it on my palm repeatedly to get it to come on.

I'm looking for under $50 if possible and prefer an LED.

Any sugestions?

thanks

Fenix P1....its tiny, runs on 1 cr123 battery...its LED and bright for what she i (55 lumens)..she clips on your keychain and is out of the way....I got mine for close to 40 bucks or so....
Also consider the Streamlight NF2..its bright, 2 cr123 batts and has a great little grip ring and clip attachment....
Or a Fenix L1P...its taller then the P1 and runs on 1 AA battery..not as bright but still bright enough...LED..has a push on/off tailcap....its tiny....and has around 45lum if i remember correct.
I really like Fenix lights.....
I get mine off of ebay now...

I carry a Pelican L1 LED as a back up to my Surefire E2e. It's small, bright for its size, has 130 hour run time, and costs less than $15. It also has an unlimited lifetime warranty and comes with clear, red, and green filters.

Yes the Fenix P1. It's under $50. I have a Fenix L0P-SE, it takes AAA battery I don't have any complaints, it's a nice little light and the finish is supposed to stand up well on a keychain.

The 5 watt Luxeons are pretty impressive.  Hell, the 3 watt models are damn good.

I like my Surefire L4 for pocket carry.  But it's more than $50.

If you can use a "fat" 123-cell light, then consider the Nuwai Q-III:
www.flashlightreviews.com/reviews/nuwai_q-3.htm
It costs $30-$40 depending on where you can find it, and it's as bright as a Surefire L1 on "high".

...Maybe we should ask first,,,, what kind of battery do you want? If you want something that can be carried invisibly in a pocket, then you would want something that takes a single AAA or AA cell.

Yeah. AA is preferred.  I have seveal Surefires, even an OLD 3P, but don't carry them much because of the bulk.  The AA Inova is a handy size, but has not held up well.
