My family works for FedEx (Freight) and all I've seen is a good company.

Call them, and get that guy HOSED.  If you didn't sign for it, and your SO didn't, then heads need to roll.

It seems that pencilwhipping deliveries and signatures is a real problem with FedEx and others.

THE ONLY SHIPPING COMPANY YOU SHOULD USE IS USPS!!!

Every other company UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc.. are all anti gun and eventually you will have a package stolen. USPS is the ONLY one that openly accepts gun shipments.

USPS people!!!

At least they're still better than UPS.  We have much better luck with FedEx, and have never collected on a damaged or lost package with UPS.  UPS's guarantee is a fraud.z

At least you got it...  I'm still hounding UPS and the shipper to try to get a package that was "delivered" on Thursday.  I actually just got off the phone with the local distribution center and apparently he delivered it to 462 instead of 426.  So it's looking like I may have to go and pay a personal visit.  Unfortunately it probably won't go over very well as I'm not very well liked in the area where I live at.

this happened to the account executive who I work with

a co-worker of ours was shipping a piece of network equipment to my acct exec with a SIGNATURE REQUIRED.

Around 8pm he is sitting around wondering where the package is at and happens to go to his front door.  THERE IT IS!  Just sitting on the front porch for anyone to come up and grab.

The value of the unit?  $58,000.  The value to the demo I was doing 2 days later (thus why we needed the equipment)????  $2,500,000.

Except I can't ship a handgun via USPS.

He was trying to do you a favor by giving you your fraking package right now, when you would have had to wait until the next day so you could sign it!

Give the guy a break!

Geesh, I prefer they do that.

I will never use fed ex again after one of my packages got stolen.  It had been awhile since I had placed my order so I contacted the shipper, and he told me it had been delivered.

I found the ripped open empty box BEHIND the neighbors trash can with my stuff gone.  There was really no way to prove who did it, since anyone could have saw the package and taken the stuff then ditched the box on the ground behind the trash, HOWEVER I have my thoughts on who did it.

That was the second time they delivered one of my packages to the wrong place, or left it out to be stolen, luckily I got the first one.

USPS all the way.  My regular UPS guy knows me and is pretty good, but sometimes they mess up too.  Not nearly as bad as fedex.

Wrong. I have a handgun in transit as we speak using USPS.

I don't have a problem with him doing me a Favor, per say....but the Signature never happened and the day was last night  at 8pm not Sat at 1:00pm....If the rifle was to be stolen...and I called customer Service.....They would have looked at the tracking and it would not jive with what I would be telling them....Would make it pretty hard to make a claim...He pencil whipped the order just to save face with the Company....save his butt....He could have cared less on doing me a favor

Geesh, I prefer they do that.
I prefer when people don't leave firearms unattended on the front porch.

I also prefer when people do as they are directed, ie signature required, instead of second-guessing the customer who may know more about the package than the person who is hauling it around.

I have a friend with MS. Her meds come in every month. She knows the day they normally arrive and stays home. She has yet to have the shipper actually knock on the door to get the signature, this case the shipper is UPS. It's $3000 dollars worth of meds that the shipper just leaves on the doorstep. But he's just trying to hook her up right? I mean what's the worst that can happen?

I hate to break this to you guys but all our parcel carriers suck. I work with the big three on a day to day basis. Every freakin one of them lie, cheat, steal and couldn't find their ass with both hands. (Representatives included) For something as simple as taking a box from point A to point B it's embarassing to say they are providing Americans with American educated service.
