I'm getting a flat top 16" upper today(Stag 1h or 2h and can't decide if I want to get the detachable carry handle or just get the back flip up sight(A.R.M.S. #40 A2). I'm not going to be able to get any optics for it for a loooong time, next year maybe. I thought the carry handle would be the best choice since it protects the rail and has a back sight I'm used to.

Flip up rear AND flip up front, I have that setup on my 6.8SPC and love it.

Get a RRA Entry Tactical carry handle. It has a rail and a rear sight at once. Works great.

I don't like the back flip up sight that comes on the stag, I thought about a gg&g back flip up that locks into place when it's open; I really do like the carry handle though

I like the carry handle. You can always tacticool it up later.
