In light of the current political atmosphere I've made some observations, for what it's worth, which isn't much .Anyway, I was forced to go to DU due to the site being down and I needed my internet fix. They are the biggest bunch of dumb asses I have ever had the displeasure of reading. With that said, do they really change anyone's mind, or do we for that matter on our side of the political fence? As I see it, those people will believe their own crap and will never change. If the Dems get control and a Pres in their, and even if a Nuke goes off in DC, they will just blame Bush for "making more terrorists" and ignore the fact that they ordered an immediate withdrawal. The upside is that our side of the fence will stay fast as well. They have no hope in changing my mind about things. With that said, it comes down to those in the middle, or the fact that, maybe, I think, we tend to actually vote as opposed the other side that prefers to piss and moan as opposed to doing anything. So the next question is whether this country has a left leaning middle or a right leaning, or as i see it, is there intelligent life in the middle? Of course there is the group of people out there that are disallusioned enough to vote for a dem just to punish the republicans, which is VERY stupid. might as well stay home. |
