That Chavez munghole thinks he is far smarter than he is. I woundered if he and Prez. Tom had a plan or if they would just try to bitch us to death. Well,it looks like for his part there is a plan. After his rant in Harlem,his gifts in Alaska and having folks fly in from poor villages in Alaska and Canada it's clear. Chavez wants to destabilize the US by rallying the native peoples of the Americas. American indians,Latin people,Inuit indians and other nonwhites. Anybody in the world can trun on CNN and see all the illegal immigration we have here and I bet Chavez told Prez. Tom that he could see to it that we are to busy at home to mest with Iran or help the Jews. Now before you guys flame me I don't think it will work but this seems to be what Chavez has in mind. |

Thought the same thing earlier today. He thinks the US is ripe for revolution or civil war. Obviously he is mistaken, and too used to the gov'ts of South America, which probably get changed more than his underwear. This risk of destabilization is likely the only reason that the Democrats are reacting in the way they are. It's quite a serious turn of events. The next step may be smuggling arms to groups within your country, and/or sending in spec ops to assist and train them. |

No it is far simpler than that... what is on Chavze's mind is he need a bogey man in the President and the US to beat up on so as to try and distract his people from the fact he is putting a boot on their necks and setting the whole country back 50 years. We have seen this tin pot dictator routine far to often to make any thing more complicated than it is. |
I understand that point of view, I disagree in this case. There is a leftist/ anti-US movement in the americas, and it's aligning itself with native peoples, along with the SCO whch includes China and also for all practical purposes Iran. They stand against a new american century, and they are a threat. |
| My first thought was that he was taking his cues from the US media. Watching the news and listening to the rhetoric of the libs, you would think that the American people are ready to overthrow the Bush administration. He seems to have expected broad support here. If that was the case, he obviously overestimated. Unfortunately, he wasn't 100% wrong in his assesment though. We have real enemies, foreign and domestic. |

Why would he need to smuggle arms, we are already the most well armed society on the planet. Send in groups to train them? They could buy all the training they want at any number of schools. For that matter, they could just rely on people with military training from among their own ranks. What this whapstick fails to realize is that even the very poor in this country enjoy a standard of living superior to his idea of middle class. In short, he seeks to do what can't be done. That is, get lazy people with everything to lose and nothing to gain up off their behinds and do something. These same people will not even help themselves, why would they do it for him? |
Smuggling arms to groups is what Iran does best. Folks like La Raza are prime something like this. It's all fun and games untill a guest worker bombs something in order to free his people from the occupiers. Where have we heard that before?

Well said Admiral....  I was just saying to the wife tonite that most of this rhetoric is aimed at the unemployed and under educated males of these shitty oil-centric economies. People that work, people that have families, responsibilities and a clue are not interested in this sort of revolution led by personality cults and religious busybodies. |
