I seems that he learned how to articulate his hatred for America and Bush, by listening to American Liberals. He cites Michael Moore and Noam Chomsky as his ideological kin. Now he's allying with our terrorist enemies, and speaking about a desire to "enrich uranium". Could it be any more clear? The Left is seen as a kindred spirit by our enemies. -they share the same RAGE. Worse then that, they INSPIRE our enemies. They make our enemies feel that their actions are justified. Pelosi and Rangle are trying to distance themselves from Chavez, because his rhetoric is just a bit TOO familiar to ALL Americans. We've heard those words for 5 years... ...from the democrats. |
I'm thinking that you're both right. |
The "outrage" they are expressing toward Chavez is only good until the day after the elections. The democratic Senators are quiet for the most part because none of them are up for re-election. |
|
The democrats are starting to self destruct already. I called it weeks ago. They are insane with their hate for GWB and the GOP. They are in serious damage control right now. I doubt they will be able to pull their collective feet out of their mouths before november.

Fuck chavez. Fuck danny glover. and screw every america hating piece of shit. I said it, and i went to war to preserve that right. These america hating pieces of crap, that take advantage of the liberties that are given to them just to stuff it in our faces. If it was up to me, i'd pay 6 dollars a gallon to close down any oil comming in from Chavez' coutry. enough said. |
The usual kool-aide kids (Sheehan, Moore, Sarandon, ad nauseum) are remaining strangely silent right now...<crickets> |
Subtlety is not your strong point is it? You misunderstand, so allow me to expand. They are stupid without their advisors. My point was that they never just take a public stand on anything without all their aides and advisors weighing in on the political benefit of doing so. My guess is that their respective camps felt that it would be poltically advantageous to appear tough and patriotic in the face of a 2 bit Latin dictator. You will notice they were not tough on the equally outrageous (although not as colorful) remarks of Ahmadinejad. yeah man F-them and F-Chavez11one1 |
Doh! Misunderstood. |
| Allowing Hugo and Muckmood to open up to America and the rest of the world proves what the GWB administration has been saying all along, they're thugs. Another bonus to this is discovering how most of the UN general Assembly hates America. Now its time to purge America of the Useless Nations. |
Not being from the left, and outraged that someone from a tinpot country like venezuela would make an even more obvious sham of the UN and its prediliction for the 'non-aligned' nations, it nevertheless amazes me that when a loudmouth idiot speaks out, you rush to blame the democrats. If you want to complain about a tinhorn dictator, his idiocy, the irrelevance of the UN, or various other things, that's fine. Attacking the democrats for fomenting this doesn't help your credibility. His strategy is a pretty transparent attempt to divide us and cause more bickering by sympathizing with one party and castigating another. Your response: Viciously attacking the democrats. You, the democrats, all the zealots who jump to conclusions and go on the attack without really listening or thinking through the implications are part of the problem. You speak of the democrats problems with rage. You're probably right. You're also exactly as transfixed and affected by it. Check this out: 209.157.64.200/focus/f-news/1705947/posts WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Two of President Bush's staunchest domestic critics leapt to his defense Thursday, a day after one of his fiercest foreign foes called him "the devil" in a scorching speech before the United Nations. "You don't come into my country; you don't come into my congressional district and you don't condemn my president," Rep. Charles Rangel, D-New York, scolded Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-California, was blunt in her criticism of the Venezuelan leader. "He is an everyday thug," she said. |
So, if you had to guess, which candidate/party would Chavez like to see win. Or do you think he has no preference? www.kxmb.com/getARticle.asp?ArticleId=31040 ![]() armor.typepad.com/bastardsword/2004/03/charles_rangel_.html The Bush administration was also targeted by Rep. Charles Rangel (D-N.Y.), who declared that the president's "record against human rights, civil rights, economic rights, is absolutely terrible." Actually I think it was Chomsky who got them all riled up. He probably threatened to write another boring tome on socialism if the dem leaders didn't get tough with Chavez.

Couple of new items re: Chavez Chomsky's book is getting a boost on Amazon after he held it up in his speech. Harkin defends Venezuelan President's U-N speech against Bush by Darwin Danielson Iowa Senator Tom Harkin, a democrat, today defended Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez's United Nations speech in which Chavez called President George Bush the devil. Harkin said the comments were "incendiary", then went on to say, "Let me put it this way, I can understand the frustration, ah, and the anger of certain people around the world because of George Bush's policies." Harkin continued what has been frequent criticism of the president's foreign policy. Harkin says Bush came to office saying he wanted a new humility in foreign policy in reaching out to other countries, but Harkin says Bush's actual policy has been heavy handed. Harkin says the anger against Bush is generated from the Iraq war, which Harkin says was "unnecessary." Harkin says, "We tend to forget that a few days after 9-1-1 thousands, thousands of Iranians marched in a candlelight procession in Teheran in support of the United States. Every Muslim country was basically on our side. Just think, in five years, President Bush has squandered all that." Harkin says the U.S. has put billions of dollars into the Iraq war, when it could be helping poor countries with things like clean water, medical aid and education. |

All I can say is that the Dems have been trying to give our nation away to anyone who would take it for quite a while. The joke will be on the taker as there will not be much left of it for them by the time they achieve this sour note. Like a cancer, they kill the host. Currently here in Nevada and watching th local political advertisments, it's a joke as all the Dems do is trash the sitting Rep, not a clue what they would do to improve our state of affiars. Their hatred for the Rep's is all out of proportion to the good they may well intend. I do think that they are a group of lost souls. |
Chavez cites Michael Moore as required reading. Michael Moore was given a hero's seat beside Carter at the Democrat Convention.
I just find it oh so telling that he learned how to hate Bush, by listening to the democrats. Tell me this is not so.
They are attempting to distance themselves from the looming specter of their own bitter rhetoric, coming home to roost in the form of Hugo Chavez. They are in denial. So are you. Me thinks you protest a bit too much. |
No. I'm sticking by my assertion that an attack on the democrats for giving the leader of venezuela 'inspiration' by being negative towards GWB is misdirected anger of your own. In a nation of 300 million people, that happens to allow free speech, there are going to be vocal critics of any administration. What are you really looking for? Is it censorship? Another sedition act? chavez said a lot of ridiculous and utterly contemptible things that made no sense. While there are elements of the American left that are both anti-american and socialist, the democratic party as a whole includes many members that are neither. Being able to distinguish between these elements, and target ones speech in an appropriate and accurate manner isn't one of your strong points. |
Think about it. Our enemies are parroting the democrats' words and sentiments. Our enemies cheer the democrats on, as the further ratchet up the extremity of their rhetoric.
She never had a problem with that. And those protests were sponsored by MoveOn. MoveOn endorsed her and her party.
He is inspired by the unheard of level of bile, the suggestions of impeachment, the accusations of criminal wrongdoing that is CONSTANTLY coming from the democrats. He cites specifically Micael Moore as an inspiration. Michael Moore is a celebrated, lauded hero of the democrats -not just the far-Left wackos, either.
I am gleefully watching, as the democrats run for cover, because "tinpot dictators" and terrorists seem to share the same rhetoric and the same reading list as does the DNC. I smile. Let them do this. Let them reveal their true selves to the electorate. Let the electorate see that Chavez shares the same rhetoric as the Far Left ideologues who control the Democratic Party (Dean, Pelosi, Reid, Harkin, Durbin, Moore, et al). They'll put 2+2 together.
Sure it is. You are just feeling the same discomfort that caused Rangle and Pelosi to react as they did. It's called denial. You know... DENIAL?:
