Optopn #1) coming out somewhare else Running down the underside of one of the hoses,

Option #2) ARE you SURE it is coolant?

Have you pressure checked it?, Is your coolant low?

probably.  the tiny pics in my chiltons manual lead me to believe it may be the driver side water pump inlet

Option #2) ARE you SURE it is coolant?

pretty sure.  it's the right color, and it tastes yummy.

Have you pressure checked it?, Is your coolant low?

nope.  at work.  no garage.  but my reserve coolant was out.  too hot to check radiator

If your water pump is seeping coolant, it's time to change the water pump.

Nowadays, water pumps are built with a weep hole. If ccolant seeps out of the weep hole, the water pump is done. Change it.

The leak will show up, but it's difficult to trace. 9 times out of 10, it's the H2O pump.

it was the water pump

coolant turned to sludge after 4mos

good thing they replaced it with the same stuff because "that's what it was designed for"

so what's gonna happen when i drain the gm shit out and put in prestone?

Well for starters , it won't turn to sludge in 4 months, nor plug the coolant passages, BUT you will have to change it every 30k or whatever green coolant recommends

If I may suggest Propelyne Glycol (non-toxic) instead of Etehelyne glycol ( green coolant). Not cause I care about pets or wild animals , but it is MUCH less corrosive, If you are going to keep it , it makes sense to spend a few bucks in the long run.
