Trying to work on some speed issues with the engine upgrade, so this targetted a few of those as well as returning the full featured search. Please let me know if this improved or worsened site speed and make sure it's the site and not your ping as usual. (Router for me just went and I'm not pinging the site at 500-1000ms... SUCKS!) Give it a chance for the load to pick up as well, having 100 people isn't much of a test. I'll keep running tests on the server load to make sure I notice things on my end! Thanks, -- GB |

I knew I missed something on the new engine... guess I found it... heehee System utilization for the current load (~300 connected users) dropped from 90% to 30% which is a pretty big deal... heehee System memory is never an issue since the machine is friggen stocked with RAM so I guess this worked out well... KEEP ME POSTED PLEASE!!! Things should improve further once the new ISP comes through and we drop a few more boxes in to handle load balancing... -- GB |

SUCKS!)[/i] I have dial-up, so I don't think that applies to me. For weeks the site can be fast on one visit then slow an hour later. Sometimes site is working fine and then I'll click on a topic and it takes forever to load. If that happens, I usually have to exit and wait a while before coming back. |

Over the past couple of months, you have obviously been visited by aliens and have managed to reverse engineer their dilithium crystal web server thingy, 'cause the difference is like night and day.
