As you might guess these take a while and this represents a fair amount of time spent.

I also have alot of unfinished and un-started kits.

I obviously need to do more work. Those others are badass. Are they Verlinden kits. I love their stuff and have been working on a Roman centurion lately.

sd0324, what's the last guy's screen name?

ETA: One of you guys should do a "Heavy Six". Those are pretty cool, both of you guys.

Dude!  Wow!  How the hell do you airbrush the camo?  Just practice?  Just amazing detail!

I did my Camo with a brush one color at a time. I use a primer and then a base coat.

I'm not sure how the other guy did his. They are much better and are also better photographed.

Maybe this will give me some motivation to do some more and post the pic's.

Thanks guys, glad you like ......the first one is a bust of a 101st trooper in Afghanistan,it is in 1/10 th scale.
The second is a bust of a Crow Indian warrior also in 1/10th scale.
Third one is a 54mm figure of a L.R.R.P. troop or a Spec. Forces team member in Southeast Asia circa 1970 or so.
Will post some other pics when i find them in my puter,it is a fun hobby that keeps me out of the tavern when I cannot be out shooting.......

Yeah. Should be a way to rotate them to vertical. Look for a "button" that looks like it has an arrow in it. (Should be one for "rotate left" and one for "rotate right".)

Scott

VERY NICE, however......

You guys put my lowly 1/35 Tamiya figures to shame...

Although recently 1/72 and 1/48 scale WWI fighters have piqued my interest substantially Very cool planes and quick, easy and cheap little kits to build.

Too much eye stain for me to work with 1/35 anymore. I stick to the bigger models now.

I like to do the 54mm all the way up to 120mm figures with a bust every once in a while for variety.

SD, Very nice work. I seem to spend to much time flying RC and shooting and I have two small kids. I'm sure you understand how hard it is to do a soldiers eyeball or decorations while a kid is tugging at your arm and screaming. They are getting bigger and seeing your cool work makes me want to build again. I promise I wont hurt peoples necks next time. I've learned the rotate button.

ten ring, know what you mean about not enough time,my job takes me all over the country so its hard to get time for the hobby, but aside from shooting I really like the figure painting thing,I only get about 3 or 4 done over a year. If you like I can send you some links to some really great sites on the hobby. I do not know where in Indiana you are but if you are near Chicago there is a great show there every year. Glad you like my painting, thanks.

I used to build model planes, cars, and tanks at the rate of around 2 a month when I was in middle school.  I must say that when I see your guys work I am truly ashamed of my past work.  I really am not an artist and although I love military hardware I think it takes a bit of artiste to make things great.

Unfortunately I don't have any pics as most of my models become involved in small scale battles rigged with Testers model rocket ignitions and fireworks during high school.  Man I was not smart sometimes.

Alot of impressive models in here.

Dog1, I like the attention to detail of the fighters.  Especially the seams and powder scoring on the wings from the machine guns.

Is that an F4F?  I was never good at recognizing Navy figher planes.

It's discouraging how few kids build models these days.

I built a ton as a kid, and a few years ago as an adult got the urge to find an A-4 Skyhawk model.   I hadn't been paying attention for years, so when I wandered into the toy sections of major stores like Walmart, Target, etc... was very discouraged to see how little, if any models are still carried in major stores.  Had to find a shop that specialized in models.

When I was a kid, there'd be a whole aisle in the toy section devoted to models, with giant ones like the visible V-8,  USS Constitution, etc... always available.  Pickings are slim these days unless you goto a specialty shop.
