Besides the basic "butter, milk, salt" (Which I do like), what do you put in yours?

Last couple times I've made mine I've added garlic, dill and horseradish. Damn good!

Melt some cheese in there, while you're mashing them.... Cheddar is really good.

little bit of butter and salt on home made, if it's instant then I use anything I can to make it taste ok. I've minced up cloves of garlic as well. you should try twice baked potatoes

I've heard if you add a bit of the water the potatos were cooked in it adds some flavor.

I have yet to try this. I don't make mashed potatos from scratch that often.

most importantly is hot heavy cream and butter.  Add horseradish, wasabi, cheese, roasted garlic or hazelnuts..the sky is the limit!

Onions (diced), Green Peppers (diced), Mushrooms (diced), breakfast bacon (sliced and diced)....sautee the onion, green peppers and mushrooms and bacon.

Cheddar Cheese, Minced Garlic and salt, pepper, butter and milk (sour cream or heavy cream or half/half)....and for God's Sake....LEAVE THE SKIN ON THE POTATOS!
