Geiss can be used as your background. Thats badass.
Install Winamp. Install Geiss 2.0 (jul release). You can set it to be your background.
Nothing like psychadelic colors flying all over your background to help you get work done.

With either WinDVD or PowerDVD (I forget which) you can set the movie to run as "wallpaper."

Yup. ATI had that feature back to Win 98 with their All-In-Wonder series drivers. Extremely cool.

Can you explain that in further detail? I did both but don't know where to save it to or how to open it as a background.

Once you have both installed, run Giess, right click on the animations and select As Desktop or something like that
