| When King Tut ruled Egypt (1333 BC – 1323 BC), the Great Pyramids were already over 1,000 years old and Dynastic Egypt had existed for 2,000 years. |

The exact date of the construction of the great pyramids is disputed. It ranges from 2,000 to 10,000 years ago depending on which scientist is asked. I'm a history geek to the fullest, but this isn't my era of experitse. Just quoting some stuff I saw on the discovery channel. Personally, I think they are older than most archeologists agree on. Much older. |
Most agree that they are at least 4,500 years old. A few have suggested they are much older. Nobody I have ever heard of is suggesting they are only 2,000 years old since clear referrences to them exist which are 4,500 years old. |
| Yep, I was at the Field Museum in Chi-town last weekend and my wife and I were talking about this... "My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings. Look upon my works, ye mighty, and despair."/ No thing beside remains. Round the decay / Of that Colossal Wreck, boundless and bare, / The lone and level sands stretch far away. |
