Im betting that Shamrock gets a whoopin, hope this last payday is a good one, he paid his dues but its time to cash out !!!
Silvia or Arlovski ?
Im thinking Arlovski- this could be a tough one to call.
What do you guys think ?

Tito is going to open up a can of whoopass and shamrock is gonna be broken on the floor.

Shamrock is going to get F'd up bad.

Lest we forgot, there will be alot more of this:

TITO is going to win

Can't wait, I'm actually going to be watching live from my computer. UFC on Demand is playing a live webcast.

My picks:
Tito over Shamrock (this is going to be brutal!)

Can't decide on Arlovski vs. Sylvia (Sylvia is sloppy, and Arlovski has a weak chin)

Dan Christianson over Frank Mir (Sorry Frank, but I think you've lost your warrior spirit since the motorcycle accident)

Josh Burkman over Josh Neer (I really like Neer though, I hope he wins)

Yves Edwards over Joe Stevenson (both are comming off of losses so this should be a war!)

Tito is going to administer a beat down of biblical proportions. Ken is like 42-years old!!!

What time does it start?

First fist fight is a bloodbath! Joe Stevenson is winning in round 2 with some Brutal Ground and pound. Opened up a huge gash on Yves forehead.
7/8/2006 6:31:23 PM EDT
[#14]
Joe Stevenson wins by doctor stoppage from the big cut. The doctors worry that a fighter will not be able to see well enough to defend themselves. Bad luck for Yves, he won the 1st round by rocking Joe with a big headkick. There was a TON of blood.
7/8/2006 6:33:42 PM EDT

On another note, Randy Coture is taking over for Joe Rogan tonight (he's at a comedy festival I think). Captain America is a great announcer/inverviewer. Randy is the man!

Round 1 of Mir vs. Christison. Mir pretty much dominated on the ground but escapes a suprising armbar attempt by Christison. Mir doesn't look polished anymore, but is a little bit ahead.

Gracie was undefeated in the UFC so he must of beat him in another setting?

Google Pride Fighting Championship. It's a japanese organization where the competition is actually much better than the UFC.

Japanese shoot fighting is an overseas promotion.

Frank Mir has a beer gut, this fight is boring.

Round 2 Mir Vs. Big Dan. Mir is gassed! Mir has more natural talent but looks like crap. Dan is more prepared cardio wise. He won the 2nd round. Dan neutralized everything from Mir. He looks to be just waiting to pounce after Mir is even more exhausted.

I can watch pride, but I think the older UFC bouts were awesome.  put the current UFC winners in teh old setting and WOW we'd have some great fights.  Elbows to the back of the head, forearms....geez.

Pride has the better competition but I find the UFC to be MUCH more exciting. I think the cage hightens my enjoyment.

I have GOT to find a dvd of this 90 minute fight!

Sakuraba versus the Gracies

Sakuraba earned the nickname "The Gracie Hunter" for his decisive PRIDE victories over brothers Royler and Royce Gracie, and brothers Renzo and Ryan Gracie. In Japan his nickname is "The IQ Wrestler" perhaps, representing how a "genius of pro wrestling" was able to defeat the Gracies. These victories carried with them large symbolic importance: the hammerlock that Sakuraba used to overcome Royler and Renzo was the same technique utilized by the most famous of Japan's judoka, Masahiko Kimura in 1951 to defeat the Gracies' father, Hélio Gracie. Furthermore, Royler's loss to Sakuraba in 1999 constituted the first defeat of a Gracie at Japanese hands in nearly five decades since the bout between Kimura and Helio. Sakuraba's fight against Royce in the PRIDE Grand Prix 2000 Finals was also of historical significance; it marked Royce's first defeat in mixed martial arts after an undefeated run in the UFC and stands as the longest match in modern MMA history at 90 minutes.

Frank Mir finds some gas left in his tank! He gets a big takedown and some very nice ground and pound. The fight goes to judges decision. Hahaha Frank Mir gets the win! I think he won because he was the hometown hero and that he is the former Heavyweight champ. Once again proving that if you are a figher, you cannot let it go to the judges.

Crowd chants Bullshit! But upon replay, Tito gave 5 brutal elbows to Shamrock with no answer from Ken.

Shamrock has 2 good size welts on his face from fighting Tito for only 1:18 seconds. Tito gets a huge slam on Shamrock, then pushes him up against the fence and rains down elbows. I think the UFC had Herb Dean not let Ken get beat down as bad as last time so he stopped the fight as soon as Ken got in trouble. Personally Herb should have given Ken the benefit of the doubt and let it go longer. But the UFC is mainstream now and they don't really want a fighter to die, especially not a legend like Ken Shamrock.

Omg Wanderlei Silva is making an announcement! This is HUGE! I am so stoked!

Edit: Spelling error, Wanderlei is spelled with a W but pronounced with a V.

I was just going to ask this. The Sham vs. Tito fight was utterly predictable. Silvia vs. Arlovski was the real contest.

Round 1 Burkman vs Neer. Very even round. Burkeman got in a big punch that drops Neer but Neer proves that he is ever durable and recovers nicely and back in top position. Too hard to judge!

Round 2

Burkeman looks gassed! He gets rocked by Neer but pulls off a nice takedown at the end of the round. I'd give this round to Neer but not by much.
