You think it's FAKE? What's the matter with you? HERE Is THAT fake? You'll be slapped just like that little punk there. |
Nice Mini-14 ... ![]() I don't follow wrasslin' but from the clothing I would guess the early 1980's? |
Combine WWF wrestler with loaded weapons |

First clip: Likely fake, but sounds very familiar - "You see dis? dis is an unloaded weapon - Glock Fo-D" Second clip: I like John Stossel. I did not like seeing that neck handle him like that. That was NOT fake. What ever happened with that? Did Stossel press charges? Sheesh. |

Google search terms: "stossel sues wwf" Who is John Stossel? He's a reporter for the ABC program 20/20. In 1985 the show did a piece "exposing" wrestling's secrets. Wrestler David Schultz(known as Dr. D. to wrestling fans) was interviewed by Stossel and when Stossel asked Schultz if wrestling was fake, Schultz got furious and slapped Stossel a couple times. Stossel sued the WWF for the incident and received a rumored $280,000 for damages. Schultz was outcasted from wrestling after the interview and hasn't wrestled a match ever since. He states to this day that WWF officials told him to Assault Stossel. ![]() ETA: Wikipedia has the settlement at $425,000 - not bad for a mid to late 80's settlement with WWF. If it were modern WWE we would be talking millions. |

Just in case they're unconvinced, after the Docs ND, the camera pans upward a bit and you can see where the top of the set ends. |

A little bit of correction here, Dr. D got fired not because of the slapping incident (Vince told him to slap him), but because he tried to start a fight with Mr. T who was coming in to do promotional matches at the time, and getting big payouts for it without "paying his dues". On a side note, Hulk Hogan also got sued around the same time for putting a famous talkshow host into a headlock and making him passout. The talk show host didn't outright say that wrestling was fake, but he just alluded to it. |
