I have recently started to become flooded with junk mail in my hotmail account.  To the point that I am considering solely going with my google account.

Anyone else having this problem?

That is what hotmail is for.  Use it for sign up on various accounts where you EXPECT junk mail.

I have a hotmail account that I use for all non-personal stuff. The other e-mail is classified.

That said, I receive very little junk mail in my Hotmail account, and 99% of what I DO get is related to something where I did give my e-mail out (so Pottery Barn sends it to Pier 1, etc.)

Even then, it's only 2-3 per day, fortunately.

I have my hotmail filters set to send any email from people not on my safe list/contact list straight to junk mail.

Switch to Gmail.

eta: nm didn't read that you already had one.

I get spam on Gmail but it looks like they only come from 3 different sites/people, they look alike.

I use g-mail exclusively. Just get another gmail account and use it for junk. I have 3 gmail acoounts, and close to 200 invites, if anyone wants one.

ETA: and 1 more thing, g-mail is really good about seperating spam from good mail, I rarely have  pieces of spam show up in my inboxes, the rest go into the spam folder.

99.9% of my Hotmail inbox is nothing but spam, and that is even after I set the filters to block out the obvious stuff.  I only check it enough to keep the account from being deactivated.

Anybody want to send me more spam?  [email protected]
