Yes, some of the best.

They are also a stand up company....Quick story

Guy orders a few holsters and some misc gear for his son who is getting ready to deploy to Iraq. Orders what his son asks for and then ships it to him on base. The package misses him and he deploys without it. A couple weeks later the package catches up to him in Iraq and the son opens it to find the dad had orderd the wrong holsters. Usable, but not the ones he wanted. He calls dad and tells him. Dad calls Bladetech to order more and to ask if he can return the gear if his son can get around to returning it. Blade tech says "No. Instead thank your son for his service, tell him to hand out the gear to who ever can use it and that we will direct ship him the gear he needs free of charge."

Anyway, the father is a customer of mine and is very happy with them and their service!

I have lots of bladetech gear.

I have a blade-tech IWB holster. It is made very well, but I have hardly ever worn it. I got a CompTac C-TAC at roughly the same time, and never looked back.

Good stuff.  They were (are?) running a combo special on their injection molded holsters so I bought one for my Glock 19.  My Kramer MSP paddle was getting too beat up so I wanted a cheap kydex holster to use for IDPA and the like.

The cost of the BT injection molded holster is less than $20 but you get a relatively high quality piece of work for your money.  I was very impressed.  Much better quality than a similarly priced Fobus.

I bought a Blade-Tech IWB w/ j-hooks about two years ago. The j-hooks were made out of cut and formed Kydex. About a year after I got the holster one of the hooks developed a crack and snapped off.

I called Blade-Tech to order a replacement j-hook assembly. What I got was an injection molded j-hook assembly that didn't quite match up with the holes on the holster. I called Blade-Tech and they kindly informed me that they no longer made the old style Kydex assemblies as they had to be custom fit to each holster. Their solution was that I buy a new holster from them.

So I pulled some WECSOG shit and wallowed out the hole on the j-hook they sent me so that it would fit my holster.

They are one of the original Kydex holster makers and still the best IMHO. I've been wearing their stuff since the early days when you had to listen to a whole lot of "What the eff is that sh*t, boy!" from all the designer leather clad pistoleros.

My original IWB with the rubber snap-loops (which I prefer) is still in daily service. I've had it since ~1995 (can't remember the exact year it is so long since I got it). Friggin' indestructable.

Be patient if you order custom, it's worth the wait.

I stopped into the shop one day to pick up a sheet of kydex and the guys were ALL busy cleaning evil weapons of various types, they must have just gone to the range.

It was pretty funny actually, they all stopped and waited for my reaction, like they thought I'd freak out or something (probably happens occasionally).

Their holsters are excellent. Their customer service is excellent. Their prices are high, and there's still a three month wait for certain products.

This thread got me thinking about my 1911 Blade-Tech paddle holster.  I don't have a std 5" 1911 anymore and I wanted to try and fit it to my new SW1911PD with a "half rail."  First I removed the paddle and backed off the tension adjusting screws on the holster itself.  Next I hit both sides with my heat gun being careful to warm the whole thing as evenly as I could.  After that I slid the pistol into the holster and worked the kydex around the gun through some paper towels I was using to protect my hands.  I let the holster cool with the pistol in it.   Removed the pistol and tightened the tensioning screws one turn and Viola!  I popped the paddle back on and I'm now the proud owner of a Blade-Tech paddle for my railed 1911.  It was really simple and quick.  Don't be afraid to mod it to fit a railed gun.

The wait is because they have been trying ot keep up with the military deployments. They have some big contracts to keep up with.
