Yess... another fence thread  Anyhow, I've got some new neighbors... property next to me is newly developed and the home next to me has built a nice cedar fence in front... been up for a 3-4 months now. So I come home today and this nice cedar fence is painted bright red, no, not inside facing their house, but outside facing the steet and everyone else  What the hell are these people doing? warding off the boogyman? I ask because kitty-corner from my place another Asian family did the same thing. Built a nice cedar fence, then proceeded to paint the thing bright red  .Neither of these homes is red, the fence doesn't match anything... it looks crazy. |

Havent you realized most decor in Chinese resturants are red? Also the proper term is Asian. Oriental are more for things like vases and back rubs. ETA, Would you rather have the redneck white trash like in the other guys thread about his neighbors? Then you could have naked childred running around with piles of trash and building material and abandoned cars next to your house. I bet these neighbors never bother you in the least. |
Yup so is Jade. If you notice a lot of jewelry is made of jade. Elephants also signify good luck and wealth. But this is traditional CHINESE colors we are talking about. Koreans, Japanese for example have their own quirks and not as much red or jade in their cultures. |

I dunno what the hell this has to do with anything... are you their lawyer? i'm just tryin to get some insight into why the hell these people would paint a perfectly good fence bright red. |

He didnt even mention he was part of a HOA. They are rare in some parts of the country. What the hell is it with everyone worrying about their neighbours. Jesus they want to paint their fence red, BIG FUCKING DEAL. As long as it isnt falling down I dont see the problem. I'll paint my house desert camo if I want. You can too. |
Finally a man of reason. I hate God damn nosy neighbors and HOAs. Useless fuckers that I have to pay money. I pay for my home and my fence no one else. What is it to you if its maintained and kept up? |

Do these fences keep you up all hours of the night? Maybe make you fear for your safety and the sanctity of your home? Do they cause your neighbors to steal things from you, or have their garbage end up all over your yard, or have so many uncared for animals that the whole block smells like poo? No? Then their choice of fence color isn't hurting you one bit. You could have MUCH worse neighbors. |
